Flow heater & process heater

FP MLH

Process Heater Type FP-MLH & FP-MLHX

ATEX Ex II 2 G Ex d IIC T4 – T6 Gb Zone 1 & 2 CU TR

The explosion-proof Mini Line heater series consists of a screw-in or flange heating element installed in a heat-insulated flow pipe. These devices are used for the efficient heating of flowing media (liquids, air or gases). The devices are fully certified in accordance with the ATEX directive and may be used in explosion-proof zones 1 & 2 and gas group IIC.

Flow / Process Heater Type CEH

Explosion-proof gas preheaters are Ex d -ATEX and IECEx certified.

The series of explosion-proof gas preheaters in the ‘Cast electric heater’ range are certified for use in potentially explosive zones 1 or 2 and are manufactured to customer specifications. The gas preheater consists of a process gas coil and an electric heating bundle, which are cast in aluminium. The process gas flows through the coil and is heated by the aluminium block, which serves as a heat transfer medium. This type of indirect electric heating enables very precise and consistent temperature control. Cost-intensive pressure vessels and the associated follow-up costs are eliminated.

The gas preheaters can be used for all gaseous media (air, natural gas, technical gases, fuel gases, steam) and low mass flows at high pressures (up to 300 bar).

In general, gases cool down when they expand, while they heat up when they are compressed. These include carbon dioxide, natural gas and air. The Joule-Thomson effect occurs when a gas or gas mixture undergoes a change in temperature due to a change in pressure, e.g. during expansion after a pressure regulator. To prevent icing or condensate separation, thermal energy must therefore be applied to heat the gas before it reaches the pressure regulator. This device is ideally suited for this purpose.
